Jim started his musical career, with the tutoring of his dad Steve, at the ripe old age of 5. Growing up in a family of lead vocalists and guitarists, Jim decided to be the rebel and play percussion. At the age of 9, Jim played is first gig with his dads famous band the "Country Wheels". Jim moved on to become first chair percussionist in the school orchestra, concert band, competition bands as well as vocalist in the school choir. During his high school years Jim auditioned for and became the lead singer for the world famous Heavy Metal band "Legion". The album "It's about #[email protected]*?! Time", with Jim on lead vocals, was a huge hit, so huge the band was signed to Young American Showcase and Southeastern Showtime Assemblies out of St. Petersburg Florida. The band toured under well known names as "The EDGE" and "Rocken". Jim has also performed with the Class of '57. In Harmony, Jackson's Parti Gra, Head of the Class, The Three Keys, Ranger, Greased Lightning and now "GLB".
Jim has been singing and playing for over 30 years and has won many awards including Male Vocalist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Gospel Group of the Year, Prince (2 years running), King (2 years running) and State King of the Ohio Country and Western Music Association. Jim has also had the pleasure of singing on Carnival Cruise line and Universal Studios California, as well as being a guest vocalist at the Grand Ole Opry in Tennesse for Silver Wings Records.
Patrick Wagner started his professional music career upon graduation from high school in 1990. He toured with the U.S.M.C. Bands stationed out of Camp LeJeune, N.C. and Camp foster, Okinawa performing nationally and internationally as a section leader and a featured performer. After completion of active duty he earned his Bachelor's of Music degree at the University of Akron participating and performing and touring with numerous ensembles locally and nationally. Patrick did his graduate work at Youngstown State University where he served as a dance accompanist and a drum circle facilitator as a graduate assistant. Professor Wagner has toured with The United States Marine Corps Band, The Ohio National Guard Band, The Diamonds, The Four Aces, The Four Tops, and numerous local acts and bands. He has been recorded on over a dozen albums which includes the Grammy nominated Live at EJ Thomas Hall with the internationally renowned University of Akron Steel Drum Band. Mr. Wagner currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Percussion and Staff Dance Accompanist at Youngstown State University. He is also the Assistant Director of Percussion at Kent State University at Stark Campus and serves as the Percussion Instructor for Manchester and Ellet High Schools.
